Optimizing your images helps with the overall performance of the website. This includes how fast your event page loads. The faster the better.

Before uploading your image/s it is recommended that you put it through a compressor. Image compression is minimizing the size in bytes of a graphics file without degrading the quality of the image to an unacceptable level. 

A few of our favourites are TinyJPG and Compressor.io. For both of these websites, the images can just be dragged on to the sites and an optimized version will be available for download. 

Example:
Step 1 - Go to TinyJPG
Step 2 - Drag your image and drop into specified box.

Step 3 - The image will then be compressed and avaliable for download.

Step 4 - Download image. 

Once downloaded you can then upload the optimized image to your event and proceed as normal.
