How to Create Payment Links

Learn how to quickly create a Buzz Payment Link and send it to your customers.

Creating a Payment Link is an easy process that you can do by following these steps:

Step 1

Step 2

Log in and click on Payment Links in the Business Cloud Manager Menu, located on the left side of the page.

Step 3

Click on the “Create Payment Link” button on the top right side of the page.

Step 4

Fill out all the fields and add any advanced settings if necessary. Click the "Create" button when you are satisfied.

Payment Link Fields Explained:

After clicking the "Create Payment Link" button, you will be prompted to enter the core information for your Payment link, which includes:

  • Link Name: Enter the primary name of the Payment Link.

  • Purpose of Payment: Add a short description of what this payment entails.

  • Link Tag (Optional): This tag will not be visible to your customers. Its purpose is to assist you with filtering payments in your Reports.

  • Enable Minimum Payment (Optional): Enable this toggle to enter a minimum payment amount that customers should pay. N.B., if this is enabled, it overrides the Amount field.

  • Amount: Enter the payment figure the customer will pay.

With the previous fields filled, you can click the "Create" button to create a Payment Link and advance to Step 5.

If further configuration is desired, use the following additional advanced fields* and settings to continue creating your Payment Link:

  • Enable Product Link: Use this toggle to use a previously created Product & Service listing for your Payment Link. Find more information about this feature in this article.

    • Search Product Listings: Use the search bar to find and select a previously created listing, OR

    • Add Item: Use the "Add Item" button to create a new Product & Service Listing.

    • Quantity Amount: Set the amount of product a customer can purchase.

    • Quantity Settings: Check this box if you would like to allow customers to adjust the amount of product they can purchase.

  • Custom Fields: Use this toggle to insert customised fields for your customer to fill out during checkout.

  • Digital Downloads: Enable this toggle if you would like to make a digital file available for download upon purchase.

    • File Name: Enter the primary name of the download file.

    • File URL vs. File Upload Toggle: Enable the appropriate download method, i.e. via a URL to a download page that you provide OR by uploading a file hosted by the Buzz Business Cloud. Depending on the chosen method, a field will be made available for the URL or to upload the file.

      • File URL: Enter the hyperlink for the website download page that customers can collect their digital file from, OR

      • Upload File: Add your digital download file directly to your Payment Link.

    • Download Limit: Enter a maximum number of times a customer can download the file. Leave blank for unlimited downloads.

    • Download Expiry: Enter the number of days the download link expires after purchase, or leave blank so that it never expires.

  • Redirect Link: Use this toggle to add a website URL customers will be sent to after payment completion.

  • Enable Email Notifications: Enter additional email addresses that will receive notifications each time this Payment Link is used.

  • Enable Image Upload: Add an image to be used in the display of your Payment Link.

  • Settings: These features affect the payment aspect of your Payment Link.

    • Buyer Incurs Fees: Enable this toggle to pass transaction fees onto the customer.

    • Single Use: Enable this toggle to disable this Payment Link after a payment is made. This is useful for one-time payments.

Step 5

You will be sent to a page with the URL of your Payment Link. You can click the Preview button to see a preview of your Payment Link. You can also share your Payment Link via various methods with your customers.
